The Perfect Book for Fall

The excitement that is building within me is growing as fall is getting closer. I've been looking through Violet's books, which she's accumulated alot, and found a favorite that was pushed aside once summer hit. Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson is the best children's book. Violet received the book for her first Christmas and it has been a favorite in our house from the moment its pages were first opened.

The great brown bear is sound asleep while he gets visitors in his lair. First there's Mouse, who is joined by Hare. Then Badger scuttles by. Shortly after that arrives Gopher, Mole, Raven and Wren, when a party begins. Bear snores the night away while everyone is having a party in his lair. (Each time the bear snores during the book Gregg and I will make a snoring sound which always delights Violet.) Finally, bear awakes when a "small pepper fleck makes the bear Raaaa-chooo!"

If you're in the market for a wonderful children's book that you hope your child will remember, Bear Snores On is the perfect book for you.
