We're in Little Rock right now and are enjoying the time with my parents. We've not been able to do much of anything due to rain though. It seems that the rain we had in Houston last week has followed Violet and I up here. We had a brief reprieve with the rain today and actually got to see the sun for a little while. The ground is saturated though so that cancelled any plans of doing something outside. I've missed the sun and hope that it makes another visit tomorrow. We're expecting more rain on Friday so Thursday is our only chance to get out.
It's not all bad though. My parents enclosed their patio recently and we've enjoyed the time in their new sun room. I've seen birds this week that I've never seen before. Beautiful, glorious birds with striking colors that just amaze you. It really goes without saying that my camera has been getting alot of use this week. I can't wait to share with you the beauty that we've been experiencing this week. I never expected that once I got to be my age that I would enjoy sitting and watching birds for hours on end, and I love that my daughter enjoys this as much as I do.

Sorry about the rain, but how lovely to be with your parents. (Oh, and aren't sunrooms awesome?) :)
We have been getting tons of rain too. I am ready for some sunshine. I would love to have a screened in porch and lovely birds to watch.
The sunroom was wonderful although we didn't get to see a whole lot of sun while in it. It was still lovely just sitting in there and listening to the rain.
