As a relatively new homeschooling family I am naturally drawn to sites that help support families in their endeavor to educate their children at home. I recently found a new site called My Homeschool World and have to say that I really enjoy it. The site is new so membership is on the low side but I can see that it is growing as word gets out about it.
Having support while homeschooling is a huge thing for families, especially for the parent who is the main educator. It is very easy to get stressed and lonely without the encouragement and support of others. My Homeschool World is a great resource for those. I still recommend being involved in a group that meets in person on a regular basis because a web site is no substitute for the physical meeting of likeminded families. But, this site is a great thing to turn to when you feel like you’re the only one who is having a hard time (or a hard day) with homeschooling.
Even though statistics show that more and more families are choosing to educate at home the mindset of most people is that a public education is the best (or only) education for children. That is why a website like My Homeschool World is a great resource. New homeschooling families, as well as the seasoned ones, can meet online at this site and share information, stories, and encouragement. We all want the best for our children whether we choose to send them to public school or to keep them at home and homeschool. For those who do homeschool, I hope you will go check out My Homeschool World.

I can't help but think that if the trend towards homeschooling continues on it's current course, that by the time our kids have kids, homeschooling may be more par for course than not. It will be interesting to see how it plays out I think.
Oh, and LOVE, oh my goodness, LOVE your new blog. Wow, super impressed!
