Enjoy the Show!

We found the perfect spot to take in a local fireworks show last year. And, I DO mean perfect!!! The show this year was a little shorter than last year's show but that didn't diminish the quality of the show. It was absolutely amazing. As my daughter put it, "It's quite an amazing show!" I couldn't have said it better myself! Here is clip of that show. Enjoy friends!

Just A Little Excitement

I think Violet was just a little bit excited once she figured out what we were doing for the night (Disney On Ice) a few weeks ago. We did a great job at keeping everything a secret from Violet. Here's some video that I got just as Violet figured out where we were and what we were doing there. So much fun!!! Enjoy!

If you listen carefully, you might hear me calling Violet "Munch". If you're scratching you head on that little nickname of hers, let me explain. Munch is shortened from Munchkin. I said it one day and it just kind of stuck! Makes perfect sense to me!

Violet's "I Love You" Song

Violet made up this song the other day at the spur of the moment. God, I love this child! We're trying to get back to a regular schedule now that we're home. I try to keep a tight schedule that is broken down into activities, free play, a mini lesson plans of either math or writing skills, and so forth. Violet seems to thrive when there's a set schedule for her and it sure does make life easier for me. It's 11 AM? time to start getting lunch ready. 12 PM is quiet time, and if I'm really lucky, a nap. 3 PM is snack time and Art is immediately afterwards. After art is our writing time. (BTW, we do things before 11 AM.) Violet has been very reluctant to learn how to write her letters and we're finally making some headway with that. After a particularly successful writing time Violet came up to me and began to sing this song. I have a great kid!
