Abundant Changes...

Our family is going through an abundant amount of changes here. The first big change was Gregg's new job. God blessed us by giving Gregg a new job where he doesn't have to work as many hours and has more time for his family. Violet and I have enjoyed the extra time with Gregg that we've been given. It was hard when Gregg had to work so many hours before because he was missing out on so much with his daughter. God has blessed Gregg with the opportunity to spend more time with Violet, and me, and that's a wonderful gift to which we are very thankful for.

Violet turned three recently. That, in and of itself, is a major change. Her personality is more defined than ever and her verbal skills are expanding so much that it's hard to keep up with her new sayings. Still, as trying as this age can be it is also a great deal of fun. Violet is learning how to follow simple instructions even when she'd rather not. Her repertoire of songs is expanding to even more songs and will burst into song at the oddest times. We enjoy listening to her sing, her voice always brings a smile to our faces when she sings.

We're in the process of looking for a place to move. We're weighing our options of buying a home but are still not ruling out renting something. Obviously, buying a home would be our first choice. We'll just have to wait and see what's in store. No matter what, we're moving to the other side of Houston, near the Katy area. We want to be closer to Gregg's office so that he's not having to travel over just an hour's time when he goes to work and heads home. Not to mention the money we'll save on gas alone!

Finally, Gregg was blessed with the opportunity to lead worship for youth at a church in the Katy area. A friend called Gregg and offered him the chance to interview for the position and after some prayer, Gregg went in for the interview. The position was immediately offered to Gregg. Just as with Gregg's new job, he didn't seek out this opportunity but he was sought for it. So many things have happened this year where we've been able to actually see God's hand at work in our lives. We've been blessed beyond measure this year as prayers and hopes have been answered and realized.

Thank you Father for the gifts that you have bestowed upon us. May we be good and faithful stewards of these blessings. Amen.
