Gregg and I have been working with Violet for the longest time with her prayers. For some reason she was reluctant to pray at first, let alone allow us to pray with her. We just persisted and followed our normal routine in hopes that she would eventually pray with us.
Yesterday Gregg made Violet an early evening snack. As he set the snack on the table he turned to say something to me. Gregg stopped, in stunned silence, as he listened to Violet pray a simple prayer before she ate her snack. It was wonderful watching the joy on my dear husband's face as he listened to Violet pray in front of him for the first time. It's absolutely wonderful to listen to our daughter thank our heavenly Father for the gifts He bestows upon us and prays for those whom she loves.
We are truly blessed.
