Christmas Trip

This week has been wonderfully busy being spent with family in Michigan and Indiana. Violet has enjoyed every moment with her grandparents and cousins. It's been nice for Gregg and me as we don't have to keep such a close eye on her since she has her cousins to play with and keep her entertained. Built-in babysitters are a wonderful thing!

Violet is especially enamored with her grandparent's dog, Joshia (or, as we call him, JoJo). If we've needed to get Violet to do something that she's particularly against doing all we have to do is ask her if she wants to see JoJo and that usually does the trick. JoJo is an enormous dog! A weimaraner that's big enough to pass for a small horse. Violet loves him and we think he reciprocates the feeling.

Violet has been sleeping SO much better since we've gotten here. She actually wants to sleep on her own and hasn't required our help in going to sleep really... just a little quiet time together and she's off to la-la land. It's been amazing! Hopefully this will be something that we'll be able to continue once we get home.

Violet is outside right now with her Daddy playing in the snow. Her first time out in the snow was a little questionable. It took her Daddy, me, her cousin Robin and her Pops to get her interested in playing in the white stuff. But once she was out there it was hard to bring her back in. Every day since her first day out she's asked to go play in the snow. Violet has gotten adept at making snow angels and throwing a snowball in just a few short days. It's great watching her play in the snow and keep her balance while in her snow suit. She looks like a little pink snowman walking in the white fluff
