Best Shot Monday

This is my best photo of a yellow finch. It was taken last month when Violet and I visited my parents for a week. Oh how I love these beautiful birds. Someday I'm going to have a sun room of my own and I plan to place several bird feeders outside so that I can sit and watch them to my heart's content. There is something incredibly peaceful about watching birds fluttering around, oblivious to your presence.

What a lovely photo - here in NJ at my barn, I always see Blue Jays - they are my favorite - just think they are the prettiest bird.....just that flash of color as they zip by me....awesome.....

There are so many different kinds of beautiful birds, which is why I think bird watching is so interesting. We have had all kinds of birds buzzing around our backyard. Beautiful photo.

We put a bird feeder up last month and have loved watching the birds come up to our deck to eat. Our favorites are the Cardinal family and we have a couple of yellow Finch's too. I never thought I would be so into birds. Ella gets so excited! Glad you are enjoying them too. Great shot. :0)

Thanks ladies!

Aussiechic ~ I like blue jays too, although they seem to be the bullies in the bird species ;)

Joanna ~ Glad to hear that Ella is enjoying the birds. I love sitting with Violet and listening to her as she tells me what birds are which. She's been a quick study learning them all. Cardinals are our favorite too.
