Another Beautiful Handmade Outfit

Violet was blessed with another beautiful handmade outfit. This one is from my friend Karen. Violet was so excited when she saw this outfit. To quote her... "It's be-u-ti-ful! Look, it sparkles Mommy!"

Karen, thank you for this lovely outfit. Violet loves it.

Please excuse the lighting on this photo. I've tried editing it as best as I can but there was no helping it really. I'm working on figuring out this camera and hopefully my photos will start turning out better.

Our Little China Girl

This adorable outfit was a gift from Violet's Pops (my husband's father). Pops went to China earlier in 2008 and this is one of the beautiful things he brought home as gifts for his family. The outfit is a tad bit too big for Violet but we couldn't resist having her wear it on Christmas morning. It is made of silk with a beautiful print woven in the fabric and the yellow trim has pretty little flowers in between it. Also, the silk is so soft. This isn't the best photo of Violet but it shows the outfit better than any other photo we took that morning. Violet has more room to "grow" into this outfit and I hope to get a better photo at a later date.

A Nice Surprise

I've mentioned that my camera was shot. After four years of continuous use it decided it was tired and quit working. Needless to say, I've been hoping a new camera would be under the tree for me this year. Santa (aka Mom & Dad) didn't disappoint! I opened this wonderful surprise...

And, as if that wasn't enough, this was in my stocking...

I have plenty of memory/storage now for pictures. No worrying about how many photos are on my card now. I can take as many photos as I want. I just downloaded 200 photos and there was still plenty of storage left.

Thank you Mom & Dad! You have spoiled me, yet again. Being an only child does have it's perks! ;)
