Is It Just Me?

Is it just me or does anyone else get really excited when you're able to load the dishwasher to the point there is no more room? That feeling seriously ROCKS! (At least for me it does.) Here's why ~ for one thing, because I feel like I've accomplished a big household chore and secondly, because I feel like I'm doing my part (however tiny a part it may be) of helping the environment. I will wait a few days if I can to run the dishwasher until it's packed full. With that said, I really hate having to unload the dishwasher. Oh well, you can't win them all!

How Cute!

I have always loved rabbits. I mean, what's not to love right? They're soft and just so darned cute! Well, my love for rabbits naturally led to a love for Beatrix Potter's "The Tale of Peter Rabbit". My love of this story has worked it's way into Violet's toy chest. She has several stuffed rabbits and they all have names from Peter Rabbit ~ Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton-tail (Peter's three sisters).

To my excitement, Pottery Barn Kids has a Beatrix Potter line of dishes and table linens. They are absolutely adorable and I am SO wanting them. I can just imagine setting my table on Easter Sunday with these...

Soft & Pretty

We needed a soft light to leave on in our living room to light the way for Violet when she woke up at night. I found this little lamp at IKEA and knew that it would be perfect. It casts a perfect soft light. It's not too bright so that it jars you awake in the middle of the night but gives enough light so that you're not stumping your toes on things.
