We have been living in a bit of a nightmare this week. Violet has developed a schedule where she literally gets ramped up, sometime around 4pm in the afternoons, and progressively gets worse until she collapses in a heap on the floor. This behavior is driving us insane!!! LIKE YOU WANT TO PULL EVERY HAIR OUT OF YOUR HEAD AND FALL ON THE FLOOR SCREAMING INSANE!!!
We've been reduced to using bribes to get Violet to behave... you want to go to the park? then you need to behave (stop doing this, stop doing that, be nice to the kitty, put that away, etc. etc. etc.) Sometimes the bribes work and sometimes they feed the insanity, you just never know what's going to happen until that moment when you feel the need to use the bribe. The silver lining in all of this is the fact that it only lasts for a few hours, yes only, there's just no stopping this behavior short of killing the child and that's not an option (or is it?). I'm kidding. Well, I sort of am. Welcome to our nightmare.
