One of the downfalls of living so far away from family is that not everyone can be present for Violet's birthdays. While visiting my parents last week we had an "It's NOT My Birthday-Birthday Party!" The party was just the five of us, my parents, myself, and of course Violet. We celebrated Violet's birthday almost two months early so that my parents could watch Violet open their gifts. Also, we had an excuse to dig into a small chocolate birthday cake.
