Saturday

This past weekend was filled with different things and it feels as if I haven't sat down in three days. Saturday we were up and out of the house by 10 AM and on the road to Clear Lake (South Houston for those of you who don't know the area). The three of us had hair appointments with Mrs. Cammie, one of the most amazing women you could ever know. An hour drive may seem a bit much for a hair cut but we know that we'll get great hair cuts and not pay a fortune for them so we gladly make the trek. Plus, we use our time in Clear Lake to stop and say hello to our old neighbors and do a few other things in the area.

I don't know if you remember or not but Violet had some blood drawn during her last doctor's visit. Well, she has been losing some hair and now has a very thin patch on the back of her head. Violet doesn't play with her hair at all so that's not the problem. The doctor tested Violet's thyroid to see if that was the cause of her hair loss but it isn't. Everything came out fine so we don't know what's causing her to lose her hair. In the meantime, we had to cut Violet's hair to minimize how thin it looked. We just ADORE her new haircut!

(Violet is concentrating on her picture she was coloring for Mrs. Cammie)

(Sorry, this photo is kind of blurry but you can still make out her adorable haircut)

Afterwards, we went to Lakeshore Learning Center and Violet had her face painted during their craft hours. She decided upon a pretty butterfly...

Then, Violet painted a pumpkin coloring page (shown on our refrigerator with Violet's magnetic shoes from one of her dolls)...

I guess Violet thought the pumpkin needed some shoes :)
